Christmas shopping time again, so of course I face my usual frustration with my father's side relations. Again, I'm the teatotaler of the family, and this year one cousin is asking for wine stoppers while the other is asking for a wall mounted bottle opener. *headtable* Oh, I'm getting them everything they're asking for and then some (I do love Giant Microbes), I just... these seem like the sort of thing they should be going to our uncle for since he's as into alcohol stuff as they are.
Meanwhile, my packing creativity is being put to the test. When it warms up next week maybe, I'll walk over to one of the wine shops and get a shipping box f

Thought from this past holiday season

As is tradition in my family circle, I spent Christmas with my father's side of the family. Evidently, I am now the only one in that family who does not partake of alcohol. Thinking back on the antics of my one uncle who was rather deep in the cups on Christmas Eve (a full bottle of some sort of wine and a few cocktails I don't care to remember the names of), and just looking at the amounts being imbibed by all the rest, my grandmother especially being surprising, I'm rather saddened to say I'm actually kinda disgusted with the lot of them, and kept thinking of how Mom and father would have reacted to it all. This is Slagpit's uncle - I regret to inform those who my Nephew has friended or has chatted with her on dA that Matthew Doms passed away this week (sometime between 1/15 and 1/18/23). He passed in his sleep. I will miss my Otakon copilot.💔
